Shaktikanta Das appointed Governor of RBI




ACC has approved the appointment of Shaktikanta Das, IAS Retd. (TN:80), former Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs, as Governor, Reserve Bank of India (RBI) for a period of three years. (We said this on November 9 and on the morning of Dec 11 )





Three officers quit Indian Revenue Service




Three Indian Revenue Service officers of 71st batch have tendered their resignations from the service after they qualified the Civil Service Examination. The officers are: Shubhanwita, Himanshu Kumar Verma and Aaditya Mishra.





Gehlot & Pilot will have different sets of Babus




In all probabilities, if Congress wins in Rajasthan then - CS & DGP - will be decided after who is appointed CM of the state- Ashok Gehlot or Sachin Pilot. According to sources both the leaders have their own set of bureaucrats.





Will Soni join CMO ?




If Ashok Gehlot is sworn in as CM of Rajasthan, then Bhagwan Lal Soni is likely to be posted in CMO. A 1988 batch IPS officer is presently posted in the cadre. It is said that he is reportedly having very cordial relation with Gehlot and both belong to Jodhpur.





DGP likely to continue




According to sources, if O P Galhotra does not moves to CBI then he is likely to continue as DGP Rajasthan. Sources say that if Congress forms the govt, he will not be disturbed. He will superannuate in October next year.





Will Garg be considered for DGP ?




Will the most senior IPS officer Kapil Garg be considered for the post of DGP if Sachin Pilot led Congress govt is formed in the state ? He is a 1983 batch IPS officer and will retire in June 2019.





Are Reddy and Tripathi also in the race?




If sources are to be believed, names of N. Ravindra Kumar Reddy and Alok Tripathi are also doing the rounds for the post of DGP iin Rajasthan. Both are 1986 batch IPS officers and these batch mates will retire in 2020.





Will CS of Rajasthan continue ?




Congress govt, if formed in Rajasthan, is unlikely to change Devendra Bhushan Gupta, the present CS. He is a 1983 batch IPS officer and will retire in September 2020.





Sharma likely to be new CS of Rajasthan




Mukesh Kumar Sharma, a 1984 batch IAS officer, is likely to be appointed new CS of Rajasthan. He is posted in the cadre.





Will Chuaungo get Home again ?




Bureaucracy in Mizoram is said to be waiting eagerly that when new govt takes charge, will Lalnunmawia Chuaungo be given Home deptt again ? He was removed by the ECI after a complaint by the then CEO. Presently he is PS, Finance. He is a 1987 batch Gujarat cadre IAS officer and serving in Mizoram on Inter - State deputation from Gujarat.





Chhattisgarh to see large scale changes in Bureaucracy




In the new Congress Government, the bureaucracy will see a lot of changes in Chhattisgarh. It is said the bureaucracy was wielding in the BJP Government. Large scale changes will be brought in after 15 years of rule by the same set of bureaucrats. Hectic lobbying has already started.





Girdhari Nayak could be new Chhattisgarh DGP




Girdhari Nayak, currently posted as DG (Jail) in Chhattisgarh, is likely to be the new DGP in Chhattisgarh with the change of regime. He is 1983 batch IPS officer of Chhattisgarh cadre.





Ajay Singh to continue as CS in Chhattisgarh




Ajay Singh is likely to continue as Chief Secretary in the new regime in Chhattisgarh. He is 1983 batch IAS officer.





Will Baijendra Kumar be CS of Chhattisgarh ?




One section in the bureaucracy says that N Baijendra Kumar, who is presently CMD NMDC, may be recalled for the post of Chief Secretary of Chhattisgarh. He is 1985 batch IAS officer.





C K Khetan has a fair chance to become CS ?




C K Khetan also has a fair chance to head bureaucracy in the new Government in Chhattisgarh. 1987 batch IAS officer did not get fair due in the BJP Government.





R K Vij in C'garh could be back in reckoning




R K Vij, Special Director General of Police, Planning Management and Technical Services (Telecommunication/CCTNS/Cyber Section), PHQ, Chhattisgarh can expect a key role in the new regime in Chhattisgarh. He is a 1988 batch IPS officer.





Alex Paul Menon may move as CM’s Secretary




Alex Paul Menon, currently CEO, Chhattisgarh Infotech Promotion Society (CHiPS), is most likely to be moved to Chief Minister’s Secretariat in the new regime. He is an IAS officer of 2006 batch. He could also be made Secretary to Chief Minister.





Mukesh Gupta to be stronger in C'garh




Mukesh Gupta, ADGP, Economic Offences Wing and Anti-Corruption Bureau, Chhattisgarh now has fair chance to get important position in the Congress regime. He is a 1988 batch IPS officer.





Amitabh Jain could get back Finance in C'garh




There is a curious case of Amitabh Jain , IAS officer of 1989 batch who is currently Principal Secretary (Home) in Chhattisgarh who may either be allowed to continue in the same role or shunted back to Finance and Commercial Taxes Department.





Sanjay Pillay could move to Mantralaya as Home Secretary




Sanjay Pillay , ADGP, Chhattisgarh Armed Force /S.T.F /Training /Administration, could get a key posting in the Mantralaya. He is a 1988 batch IPS officer.

Potluri Radhakrishna, GM, BDL, has been selected for the post of Director (Production), Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) at a Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) meeting held on December 11, 2018. As many as six persons were interviewed for the same.

Chandra Bhushan Paliwal, Chairman, Subordinate Services Selection Board, UP, has resigned from his post. He is a 1981 batch UP cadre IAS officer and was appointed to the post in January this year. He was appointed for two years.
