Ultimately then President Late Rajendra Prasad intervened saying both come to meet me in Rashtrapati Bhawan since both are sworn in by me. Late PM and the late CJI met and the matter was resolved amicably. Now people say present President Kovind must play a crucial role in the war between CJI and the Judges.

60% posts are for Directors under CSS

Under Central Staffing Scheme(CSS) about 40 per cent posts are of JS and above while remainig 60 per cent posts are at the level of Directors/ Dy Secretaries i.e.the Middle Management level. There are 933 posts under CSS. Approximate 390 are for JS and above.
