whispers in the corridors
REC Foundation, the CSR arm of REC Limited, a Maharatna CPSE under the Ministry of Power, has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with the Kaziranga Tiger Conservation Foundation (KTCF) to support critical conservation initiatives in Kaziranga National Park & Tiger Reserve. Under the agreement, REC Foundation will provide a CSR grant of ₹5.43 crore to fund the installation of solar power plants and Reverse Osmosis (RO) drinking-water systems at multiple anti-poaching camps throughout the park. The initiative will supply clean, reliable energy and safe drinking water to frontline forest personnel, reducing dependence on fossil-fuel generators and single-use plastic bottles, while lowering the park’s carbon footprint. The MoA was formally signed by Ms. Sonali Ghosh, IFS, Field Director, Kaziranga National Park & Tiger Reserve and Chairperson, KTCF, and Pradeep Fellows, Executive Director, REC Foundation, in the presence of Jitendra Srivastava, Chairman & Managing Director, REC Limited.
