Sudhanshu Pant, Chief Secretary of Rajasthan is the first CS, who will join the Modi govt as Secretary second time. Before going to Rajasthan as CS , he was heading the Ministry of Health & Family welfare. He is a 1991 batch IAS officer. The Modi government so far has sent four Secretaries to their cadres as CS. D  S Mishra to UP, Manoj Ahuja to Odisha, Sudhanshu Pant to Rajasthan and Anurag Jain to MP. Except Pant, others did not return to GoI.
