RBI nod for 3-year term to Vishwanathan as non-executive chairman of Axis Bank (UPDATED)
The Reserve Bank of India has okayed the proposal for re-appointment of NS Vishwanathan as the non-executive chairman of Axis Bank for three-year term starting from October 27, 2026 to October 26, 2029 on the condition that it will be subject to his re-appointment as independent director. A former deputy governor of RBI, Vishwanathan had retired in 2020.
