Ekroop Caur (IAS, 2002) or Shalini Rajneesh (IAS, 1989) or Gunjan Krishna (IAS, 2004) are in the final race for IT Secretary of Karnataka. CM Siddaramaih is not willing to accommodate Minister Priyank Kharge's choice but is looking to find someone he and his core political team can trust. Ekroop Kaur reportedly has the strong backing of ISN Prasad, former ACS FD and his wife Chief Secretary Vandita Sharma. Shalini Rajneesh is reportedly backed by CM's Political Secretary and MLC Govindaraju and her husband Rajneesh Goel  ACS to CM. Shalini Rajneesh has just been given charge of e-governance which is critical to implementation of the Congress 5 guarantees in the State. At the moment Ekroop Kaur is the front runner. Gunjan Krishna is doing good work and Minister MB Patil is said to want to retain her.
