SC Collegium creates history, overlooks centre & Calcutta HC’s recommendations

In the history of judiciary, the Supreme Court Collegium overlooked the recommendations of Calcutta High Court and Centre Government for appointing nine judges as Permanent Judges. The Collegium appointed them as Additional Judges for one-year terms. This is for the first time when the SC Collegium moved such a decision.
