IAS Neha Meena’s project 'Jhabua Ki Udaan,' Educating the Tribal Land of Jhabua, MP

IAS Neha Meena, from the 2014 batch of the MP cadre,currently posted as collector Jhabua district of MP is set to reach new heights with her dream project, "Jhabua ki Udaan." “My goal during my tenure here is to educate as many students as possible and ensure that Jhabua has higher representation in the opportunities that arise,” she emphasized.

Believer of “What you do today, determines not only yours but also your nation’s future” she is bringing an air of change in Jhabua. Neha has also been honoured with the ‘Bhoomi Samman Platinum Award’ by Honourable President Smt.Droupadi Murmu.

“Jhabua ki Udaan” is an initiative aimed at empowering the youth of Jhabua to build successful careers and achieve their goals. Neha Meena stated, “My dream project focuses on developing a culture of education among the younger generation. We will also provide training for various competitive exams such as Patwari Bharti, MPPSC, UPSC, SSC, JEE, NEET, NDA/CAPF, and police recruitment.” Additionality She has also managed to establish a central library to support exam prep and foster a reading culture among the tribal youth.

The initiative offers all over support, including access to books, notes, a library, and workshops. “We are preparing modules, conducting online classes, mock tests, and interviews—all organized at the administrative level.”

Neha deeply understands the transformative power of education and how far it can take a person. While focusing on education, she is also aware of the challenges of her district, particularly the high tribal representation where migration for employment is a major issue. “Though income levels are low in some Janjati areas, talent knows no boundaries. Our goal is to connect youth with employment and self-employment, breaking the vicious cycle of debt and poverty”.

Her passion and vision shine through clearly. She has even designed a logo for her project—a pen with wings—symbolizing her belief that "there is no greater power than the Kalam." The project is set to launch officially after Navratri .
