whispers in the corridors
IAS Savin Bansal belongs to the 2009 batch of Uttarakhand cadre and is currently posted as collector of Dehradun. Driven by a dream for holistic societal development, he has a series of projects across different sectors.
Among these is the introduction of pink police booths aimed at enhancing women's safety "The pink police booths are now being set up in the district, “he stated
Bansal is focused on bridging the gaps of advancement in the district by introducing automated mechanical parking systems, EV charging stations, Smart schools, and extensive shelter units "Dehradun lacks automated parking structures, so we are setting up automated mechanical parking facilities. Additionally, there are currently no EV charging stations in the heart of the city, for that the budget for their installation has already been allocated. “he explained.
For Children, his efforts focus on the Anti-child begging project and the development of Smart schools. "We aim to make schools smarter by equipping them with new furniture, whiteboards, digital screens, and making sports activities compulsory," Bansal shared.
In the realm of healthcare he has prioritized making services more accessible "We've made it mandatory for major hospitals to have labs, blood banks, and child care units where they were previously lacking," he noted. "The management and funding for these upgrades are already in place"
Additionally, Under his leadership, he envisions transparent governance and effective administrative control across all branches of government, among other goals.
