Alka Tiwari is new Chief Secretary of Jharkhand
With the consent of the Election Commission of India (ECI), the Poll-bound Jharkhand has got a new Chief Secretary. Alka Tiwari (IAS: 1988: JH) has been appointed as the Chief Secretary of the state. She has succeeded L Khiangte (IAS: 1988: JH) who retired on 31.10.2024. Years back her husband Devendra Kumar Tiwari (Retd IAS: 1986: JH) had also served as the Chief Secretary of Jharkhand. As the Chief Secretary, she may have a complete one-year stint i.e. till her superannuation on 30.09.2025.
