They won't get more than 4 seats. Firstly the popularity of Sudesh Mahato has reduced drastically, and their main vote (Kudmi/Mahato) has been shifted to BJP and JMM.

“Samosa conundrum!”

It is not always appropriate to accuse the Indian police for poor success rate. It is, by and large, competent and efficient both in matters of crime investigation and controlling law & order, at par with global standards. It is corrupted by politicians and bureaucracy. Misplaced perception. The black sheeps are there in all fields. Here is an incident reported by the Indian Express dt Nov 8, captioned :“Sukhu ka samosa”, to substantiate the point.


Put simply, Himachal Pradesh CM was invited to CID Hqs in Shimla to inaugurate the cyber crime wing. Inauguration over, the CM could not eat samosas and cakes procured from a 5-star hotel. These were later consumed by IG’s staff. The CID probe resulted in serving show-cause notices to 5 cops including a woman inspector. Disciplinary action is recommended by IG (CID). Further, to add insult to injury, the cops were branded as“ anti-CID and anti-govt”. Their fault: Deprive the VVIPs of refreshment! Was the “offence” so serious as to warrant such strict punishment, one wonders? Why were cops misused as errands to fetch refreshment from the hotel? Was there no hospitality or administrative staff  for the purpose? The HP police would surely have more important jobs to perform. One gets the impression that punishment was given to junior cops to please the  chief minister, the highest  public servant in the State? HP police is demotivated.
