Mritunjaya Sharma has been appointed as Private Secretary to the President Mrs Droupadi Murmu at the level of Director. for a period up to January 1, 2027 (i.e. for the balance period of five years central deputation) extendable on a co-terminus basis. His tenure as  Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to the President has been curtailed. He is a 2009 batch IRS (IT) officer.
