NHDC recorded second highest power generation since inception (UPDATED)

NHDC has successfully generated 5575.02 Million Units of electricity against the generation target of 4900 Million Units under Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) set for Excellent Rating during FY 2024-25, which is 24.63% higher than generation of FY 2023-24. This is also the second highest generation of electricity by NHDC since its inception. NHDC’s 08 Megawatt Sanchi Solar Plant has successfully achieved the solar power generation of     15.021 Million Units with excellent rating and Capacity Utilization Factor (CUF) 21.42% in FY 2024-25. NHDC’s 88 Megawatt Omkareshwar Floating Solar Plant was also successfully commissioned on 29.10.2024 and it has generated 96.412 Million Units of solar power in FY 2024-25.  On this occasion, Sh. Rajeev Jain, Managing Director, NHDC congratulated employees for such remarkable achievement. This extraordinary generation of electricity has been achieved due to hard work by employees and maintenance of machines in excellent condition. Sh. Jain also thanked Government of Madhya Pradesh for extending full cooperation in generation of electricity by NHDC. This has benefitted all the stakeholders of NHDC. NHDC Limited is the leading power generation company in Madhya Pradesh state, which is a joint venture of NHPC Limited and the Government of Madhya Pradesh. It was established in the year 2000. At present, two hydropower stations of NHDC Limited, Indira Sagar Power Station (1000 MW) and Omkareshwar Power Station (520 MW) are in operation in Khandwa district of Madhya Pradesh. In addition, 08 MW Sanchi Solar Plant and 88 MW Omkareshwar Floating Solar Plant of NHDC are in operation. 100% of the electricity produced from these projects is supplied to Madhya Pradesh. NHDC is also actively working on 640 MW Pump Storage Project.
