IAS officer’s unique portraits exhibited on CS Day at Jaipur (UPDATED)

A 1993 batch IAS officer of Rajasthan cadre, Sandeep Verma who is also a self-taught portrait artist, hosted the most unique portraits’ exhibition in the Country on the occasion of Civil Services’ Day 2025 at Jaipur.  The officer, who practices pencil drawing in his spare time, mostly using photographs of his friends and colleagues for reference, has drawn the portraits of the Prime Minister and several senior bureaucrats from the country.  Verma presently serving as Chairman and Managing Director, Rajasthan State Warehousing Corporation, Jaipur, exhibited more than fifty of his pencil portraits at Surekh Art Gallery, Jawahar Kala Kendra, Jaipur (April 2021) followed by three smaller exhibitions at LBSNAA, Mussoorie (April 2023), at Delhi Gymkhana Club (September 2023), and at the University of Nottingham (June 2024). About thirty of his new pencil portraits were recently showcased at WelcomArt Gallery, ITC Rajputana, Jaipur in March 2024.
