17 IPS officers get new responsibilities in major reshuffle in Bihar (UPDATED)

As many as 17 IPS officers have been transferred in a major reshuffle in Bihar. Pankaj Darad has been given the charge of ADG of ATS and he will also handle charge of ADG (Law & Order) and Special Surveillance Department, while Dr Amit Kumar Jain, ADG Crime Investigation Department Bihar (Weaker Sections), was assigned additional charge of ADG, Prohibition and Rakesh Rathi has been relieved of the additional charge of IG, Economic Offences Unit (Cyber Crime) and assigned additional responsibility of IG, Special Branch, Patna. Similarly, Ranjit Kumar Mishra, IG, SAF, Patna, was assigned additional charge of IG (Training); Babu Ram has been appointed as DIG, Bihar SAF (North Division), Muzaffarour; Jayant Kant gets an additional charge of DIG, State Crimes Record Bureau; Manavjeet Singh Dhillon has been relieved of additional charge of DIG, Prohibition; Rajiv Mishra will handle an additional charge of DIG (Prohibition); Abhay Kumar Lal is posted as DIG-cum-Deputy Director, Bihar Police Academy, Rajgir; Tauheed Pervez as DIG, CID; Rajendra Kumar Bhil as DIG (Personnel); Deepak Ranjan, Commandant, Bihar Special Armed Police-3, Bodhgaya, gets an additional charge of Commandant, Bihar Special Armed Police-17, Bodhgaya; Rajiv Ranjan-I was shifted as SP, Economic Offences Unit, Patna; Mrs Veena Kumari as SP, Rail, Muzaffarpur; Ashok Kumar Prasad as AIG (Training), Patna; Vinay Tiwari as SP, Cyber Investigation and Campaign, EOU, Patna and Chandra Prakash will take over as Assistant Director, Bihar Police Academy, Rajgir.
