Poonam Gupta has taken  over as the Deputy Governor of the Reserve Bank of India on Friday. Gupta will look after the departments of Monetary Policy, Financial Markets Operations, Economic and Policy Research, Financial Stability , International, Statistics and Information Management, Corporate Strategy and Budget, and Communication.
