Kharge's statement reinforces central authority in Karnataka

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge’s statement on the Karnataka leadership issue underlines the party high command’s authority in deciding the Chief Minister. Amid rising speculation that DK Shivakumar may replace CM Siddaramaiah, Kharge cautioned against unnecessary remarks and said that the decision would be taken by the High Command.
