Honoured by the world: PM Modi's record number of highest civilian awards


Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a leader to have received a record number of civilian honours amounting to 27 from numerous countries, highlighting his leadership and India's growing stature on the global stage. These awards signify strengthened diplomatic relationships and reflect India’s expanding influence and engagement worldwide. Recently, he has been conferred with Namibia's highest civilian award, 'Order of the Most Ancient Welwitschia Mirabilis'. Namibian President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah conferred this award. This was the 27th international honour bestowed upon the Prime Minister Modi by a foreign government since he assumed office in May 2014.
