DARE Awards: IAS Prem Krishnan S Honours Abilities of Differently-Abled

The DARE Awards – District Collector’s Award for Resilience and Excellence is a pioneering initiative launched by IAS Prem Krishnan S, the District Collector of Pathanamthitta, Kerala- home to the iconic Sabarimala pilgrimage.

The initiative aims to honour and and celebrate differently-abled children who demonstrate extraordinary courage, perseverance, and talent despite facing physical or cognitive challenges.

DARE celebrates the unwavering spirit of children with disabilities, showcasing their achievements in academics, arts, sports, and personal resilience. It acknowledges not just their accomplishments but also the inspiring journeys behind them, offering a platform to share their stories of strength and hope with the community.

This unique award highlights the potential and dignity of every child, sending a strong message that resilience and excellence deserve recognition. By shining a spotlight on their talents and perseverance, DARE fosters inclusivity, raises public awareness about the capabilities of differently-abled individuals, and encourages society to create equal opportunities for all.

The DARE Awards are more than a recognition-they are a celebration of the human spirit and a reminder that every child has the right to be seen, supported, and celebrated.
