Regional Tourism Conclave in Gwalior from Aug 29 (UPDATED)

The Regional Tourism Conclave is set to take place in Gwalior on August 29-30, aimed at enhancing tourism inflow and investment in the Gwalior–Chambal and Sagar divisions. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will host the event at Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Krishi Vishwa Vidyalaya, alongside key figures including Union Minister of Communications Jyotiraditya Scindia, Madhya Pradesh Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar, and Minister of State for Tourism Dharmendra Singh Lodhi. Minister Lodhi emphasized that the conclave aims to foster collaboration among tourism entrepreneurs, tour operators, and the hotel industry, coinciding with a rise in tourist numbers in Madhya Pradesh. Themed “Timeless Gwalior: Echoes of Culture, Spirit of Legacy,” the event seeks to promote tourism investment, cultural heritage, and regional development. Principal Secretary Sheo Shekhar Shukla announced that Letters of Award (LoAs) will be presented to investors in sectors such as hotels, resorts, and eco-tourism, aiming to generate local employment and sustainable growth. The conclave will also feature a special tourism exhibition showcasing Madhya Pradesh’s diverse attractions, hospitality brands, and cultural heritage. Two panel discussions will address strategies for branding Gwalior’s cultural legacy and exploring new tourism dimensions, including heritage, luxury stays, and experiential tourism, further positioning the region on the global tourism map.
