Astra MkII Missile Trials Planned
The DRDO announced that firing trials for the Astra MkII Beyond Visual Range Air-to-Air Missile (BVRAAM) are scheduled for November 2025, to be tested from Sukhoi Su-30MKI and HAL Tejas Mk1A platforms. Certification is targeted for December 2026, with the missile’s 160 km range enhancing the Indian Air Force’s capabilities.
