The “Rajbhasha Pakhwada Inaugural Ceremony” was organized at SECL Headquarters on September 15, 2025, under the chairmanship of Chairman-cum-Managing Director Harish Duhan, in the august presence of Director (HR) Biranchi Das, Director (Finance) D. Sunil Kumar, Chief Vigilance Officer Himanshu Jain, along with heads of departments, officers, employees, and representatives of trade unions. The Rajbhasha Pakhwada is being celebrated across all areas of SECL. On this occasion, while presiding over the program, Chairman-cum-Managing Director Shri Harish Duhan said that Hindi binds us together. He emphasized the need to strictly follow the directions received from higher authorities for the promotion of Hindi. He added that Hindi is simple, easy, and comprehensible — the language of communication and employment — and that is why it is widely accepted across the country, reflecting our unity and integrity. On this occasion, the messages of Hon’ble Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Union Minister of Coal & Mines G Kishan Reddy, Union Minister of State for Coal Satish Chandra Dubey, and Chairman, Coal India, Shri P. M. Prasad were read out. During the Rajbhasha Pakhwada, being organized from September 14 to September 28, various competitions will be conducted at Headquarters and operational areas, including Hindi noting and drafting, Hindi knowledge quiz, picture-based story writing, Hindi essay writing for homemakers, computer-based Hindi typing, Hindi Antakshari, and Hindi speech competitions. On the first day of the Pakhwada, a Hindi essay writing competition was organized at Headquarters in which 50 participants took part.
