Union government is going to unveil 7 Welfare schemes on PM Modi’s Birthday (UPDATED)
The Union government is set to unveil seven new welfare initiatives to mark PM Modi’s birthday on September 17, focusing on health, women’s empowerment, and service-oriented outreach during a national “Seva Pakhwada.”

The rollout is expected to align with a two-week service campaign from September 17 to October 2, featuring health drives, cleanliness initiatives, and beneficiary outreach.
New schemes are likely to emphasize women’s health and family well-being, expanding preventive screenings and community care through existing health centers.

Launch events are planned as part of larger public-service programs, including blood donation camps and health check-up camps across multiple states.

Infrastructure-linked welfare like hospital blocks, dialysis units, and community clinics may be inaugurated alongside the schemes to ensure last-mile delivery.

Financial inclusion and livelihood support for self-help groups could feature, building on ongoing women-led microenterprise models.

The initiatives are expected to integrate with flagship platforms for direct benefit transfers to minimize leakages and speed up delivery.

Official details, names, and beneficiary criteria will be confirmed in government press releases on September 17.
