IAS Preeti Yadav First Woman Collector of Agar-Malwa, Dreams of More Industries and Opportunities for Its People

IAS Preeti Yadav is a 2016 batch officer of the Madhya Pradesh cadre and is currently posted as the District Collector of Agar-Malwa, MP. With this appointment, she made history by becoming the first woman collector of the district.

Known for her proactive and result-oriented approach, in just a few days of joining, she has set her mind on promoting industries and generating wider employment opportunities for the people.

“My vision for the district is to actively promote and support the growth of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs)” she said.

Recognising the role of industrialisation and how this development can bring multiple benefits to the local community, she added “As many upcoming industries are likely agro-based, they can provide direct support to farmers.”

Yadav aims to encourage MSMEs in the region,as they play a crucial role in driving economic development at the grassroots level. “By establishing more industries, we can create greater employment opportunities for local residents” she noted.

Fostering an environment that encourages entrepreneurship and industrial growth, Yadav is writing a new chapter in the development of Agar-Malwa.
