In a moment of great pride for the Energy, Mining and Power sectors, Prasanna Kumar Motupalli, Chairman and Managing Director, NLC India Limited, has been conferred the Lifetime Achievement Award at the HMTV Business Excellence Awards 2025 organised by the famed Hyderabad Media House Limited. The award ceremony was held at Hyderabad on 29th November 2025. The award was presented by distinguished Chief Guests Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu garu, Union Minister of Civil Aviation; D Sridhar Babu garu, Minister of Telangana for Information Technology, Electronics & Communications, Industries & Commerce and Legislative Affairs. Speaking on the occasion, Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu garu, Union Minister of Civil Aviation, remarked that “Leaders like Motupalli demonstrate how commitment, technical expertise, and ethical leadership can transform public sector enterprises into globally competitive organisations. His focus on renewable energy, community development, and long-term sustainable growth stands as an inspiration for future leaders and institutions across India.” This distinguished recognition celebrates Shri Motupalli’s visionary leadership, persistent dedication, and transformative contributions to India’s energy landscape. Under his stewardship, NLC India Limited has not only strengthened its position as a leading Navratna Public Sector Enterprise but has also made remarkable advancements in coal and lignite mining, thermal and renewable energy generation, sustainability practices, and national infrastructure development. The award was presented in recognition of Shri Motupalli’s exceptional leadership excellence, nation-building efforts, and continued commitment to India’s energy security. Expressing gratitude, Shri Prasanna Kumar Motupalli, CMD, NLC India Limited dedicated the honour to the employees of NLC India Limited, family members, and sector partners.
