ALIMCO’s new corporate logo on Foundation Day (UPDATED)

The Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO) celebrated its 53rd Foundation Day today at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi, marked by the unveiling of its new corporate logo and the launch of two advanced mobility solutions — the 3-Wheeler EV Scooter and the Clip-on Motorised Wheelchair. The event was graced by Hon’ble Union Minister for Social Justice & Empowerment, Dr Virendra Kumar, and Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment B L Verma. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Virendra Kumar highlighted ALIMCO’s transformative 53-year journey from a manufacturing unit to a national institution embodying innovation and empathy. He noted that under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, over 32 lakh Divyang beneficiaries have been supported so far, with ALIMCO playing a crucial role in delivering high-quality assistive devices across India. Verma described the new mobility solutions as enablers of dignity and independence, showcasing India’s growing strengths in inclusive technology. Mrs Manmeet Kaur Nanda, Additional Secretary, DEPwD, called the day a milestone in ALIMCO’s vision for self-reliance and inclusion. She cited inspiring stories of beneficiaries and praised ALIMCO’s workforce for their unwavering dedication. She also outlined the organisation’s forward-looking initiatives, including collaborations with 80+ start-ups and advancements in AI-assisted and smart assistive technologies. Introducing the new identity, Praveen Kumar, CMD, ALIMCO, said the new purple logo represents dignity, inclusion and engineering excellence, reinforcing ALIMCO’s commitment to modern, high-impact solutions. The event was attended by senior officials from the ministry and allied organisations under the ministry and gentry of officers and employees of ALIMCO.
