The long awaited FTA between India and EU is done on Tuesday in New Delhi. The dialogue in this regard was underway since 2007. Experts are giving full credit to US President Trump because his tariffs terror expedite the pending deal early. Now India will get access to 27 European countries and this agreement will bring major opportunities for the public in India and Europe. Now India has completed FTA with seven nations, including Britain and New Zealand. The agreement was unveiled at the 16th India-EU Summit, co-chaired by PM Modi, President of the European Council Antonio Luís Santos da Costa, and President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen in new Delhi. According to PM Modi,"This agreement represents 25 per cent of the global GDP and one-third of global trade.” The FTA talks were first launched in 2007, stalled for several years, and then relaunched in 2022. Analysts see the deal as a strategic boost for both sides at a time when global trade patterns are being reshaped by geopolitical tensions and supply chain realignments.
