As many as six IPS officers have been given new assignments in West Bengal. Accordingly, Manoj Kumar Verma has been appointed as Director, Security, while Supratim Sarkar was made Commissioner, Kolkata and Vineet Kumar Goyal is now ADG, Law and Order with additional charge of ACB. Similarly, Jawed Shamim has been appointed as ADG, STAF with charge of ADG, IB; Ajey Mukund Ranade as ADG, Telecommunications and Vishal Garg was made ADG, Cyber Cell.
