This is a deadly judgment with its impact across a wide section of the government department which most people will not be able to understand. It would help in ensuring better utilization of reservation benefits and put pressure on those head of department who are not enforcing the reservation. But there is a catch - a BIG catch - disclosure of the caste of the government servant. The conflict would remain and now the issue is out in public. Let us see how it evolves.
