M Anitha, a 2007-batch Indian Revenue Service (Income Tax) officer, was approved for the position of Director in the Department of Defence under the Central Staffing Scheme. She is transitioning from the Department of Investment and Public Asset Management (DIPAM) and will serve until September 26, 2026. While this is under the MoD, it pertains to administrative bureaucracy rather than military top brass.
