HUDCO celebrates Annual Sports Day (UPDATED)

The annual sports day of Housing and Urban Development Corporation Ltd. (HUDCO) brought together the employees  and their families in a grand celebration of fitness, teamwork, and sporting excellence, at the iconic Thyagaraj Stadium, New Delhi.

Sanjay Kulshrestha, CMD, HUDCO, alongside Directors, and the CVO, declared the annual sports day open by releasing colourful balloons into the sky, marking the commencement of a day filled with excitement, passion, and camaraderie.

HUDCO under its CSR initiatives is providing financial support, to young athletes under the Target Olympic Podium Scheme of Sports Authority of India. Two eminent athletes under this scheme, viz. athletes Nisha Dahiya and Sachin Yadav graced the event with their presence. They interacted warmly with participants, shared motivating insights from their sporting journeys, and encouraged everyone to pursue fitness and discipline with dedication. Their inspiring presence greatly motivated the participants, who felt honoured and energized by the opportunity to engage with such distinguished sportspersons.

Kulshrestha underscored the importance of adopting a regular fitness regime and encouraged everyone to integrate physical activity into their daily routine to prevent lifestyle-related ailments. His inspiring message reinforced the significance of health and well-being as essential pillars of both personal and professional success.

The day featured an exciting array of sporting and recreational activities designed to ensure inclusive participation across all age groups. Competitive track events showcased speed and stamina, while the spirited tug of war reflected strength, strategy, and teamwork. Fun-filled activities such as the spoon-and-lemon race, brisk walk, and musical chairs added colour and cheer to the spirited and enthusiastic participation by one and all.

HUDCO’s Annual Sports Day once again stood as a testament to the organization’s commitment to holistic well-being, fostering a culture where health, enthusiasm, participation, and togetherness thrive in equal measure
