Ashok Kumar, who is presently posted as Deputy Chief Mechanical Engineer/Planning (Dy. CME/Planning),  Guwahati, Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR), has been selected for deputation as Joint General Manager/Mechanical (JGM/Mech.) to Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL), Corporate Office, Noida, for a period of three years. He is an Indian Railway Service of Engineers (IRSE) officer.
