Queens on Wheels tour to promote women’s empowerment, tourism: CM (UPDATED)
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav flagged off the third edition of the ‘Queens on the Wheels’ Women Biking Tour in Bhopal on Saturday, calling it a powerful initiative to promote women’s empowerment and tourism in the state. Welcoming participants from across the country, he said the tour is not merely a bike rally but a campaign to showcase the identity of Madhya Pradesh through courage, tourism and women’s leadership. He added that under the guidance of PM Modi, the state is progressing while ensuring safety and opportunities for women.
 
The tour, organised ahead of International Women’s Day, features 25 women superbikers from several states. Scheduled from March 7 to 13, the riders will cover nearly 1,400 km across major tourist destinations such as Sanchi Stupa, Udayagiri Caves, Khajuraho Group of Monuments, Kuno National Park, Gwalior and Orchha before concluding in Bhopal. The tour is being led by 62-year-old biker Dr. Neeta from Mumbai and aims to highlight the state’s cultural diversity, natural beauty and safe tourism environment. Neeraj Mandloi, ACS to the CM, Ilaiyaraaja T, MD, MP Tourism Board, Additional MD Dr. Abhay Arvind Bedekar and other officials were present.
