The seven-day bike expedition “Queens on the Wheels 3.0,” organized by the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board to promote the state’s rich tourism destinations and encourage women empowerment, concluded with great enthusiasm today at Maharani Laxmi Bai Girls College in Bhopal. On this occasion, the women superbikers were honored with certificates in recognition of their courage, confidence, and successful completion of the journey.

The unique ride was flagged off on March 7, 2026, by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav from his official residence in Bhopal. During the seven-day campaign, 25 women superbikers from across India completed an adventurous journey of approximately 1,400 kilometers. The riders experienced the historic, cultural, and natural beauty of Madhya Pradesh while exploring the simplicity of Nimar, the vibrancy of Malwa, the valor of Bundelkhand, the folk traditions of Baghelkhand, the proud history of Chambal, and the scenic charm of Mahakaushal.

During the expedition, the participants visited several prominent tourist destinations including Sanchi, Udayagiri, Chanderi, Shivpuri, Kuno National Park, Gwalior, Orchha, and Khajuraho. They explored Pranpur Craft Village in Chanderi, admired the historic chhatris of Shivpuri, experienced nature at Kuno National Park, toured the majestic Gwalior Fort, offered prayers at the Ram Raja Temple in Orchha, and visited the world-famous temples of Khajuraho. The riders also enjoyed a range of activities such as light and sound shows, adventure experiences, river rafting, and kayaking at different locations along the route.

Santosh Srivastava, Joint Director of the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board, was present at the closing ceremony and felicitated the participants with certificates, mementos, and medals.

Dr. Nita Khandekar, the 62-year-old group leader from Mumbai, shared her experience, saying, “This journey will always remain memorable. We received immense love from Madhya Pradesh, making the adventure ride feel like a family tour.”

Trina from West Bengal said, “I felt the safest in Madhya Pradesh. I have become a fan of its roads and natural beauty.”

“Queens on the Wheels” is not just a bike ride but a celebration of women’s empowerment, courage, independence, and the rich cultural heritage of Madhya Pradesh. Through this initiative, women bikers experienced the state’s diverse tourism offerings and played an important role in promoting them across the country and the world through social media and various platforms.

The Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board aims to establish the state as a safe, adventurous, and world-class tourism destination through such innovative initiatives.

The biking tour was led by 62-year-old Dr. Nita from Mumbai. The group included riders from across India: Sara Khan, Rajnandini, Divya Raman, Mayuri Soni, Disha Rakeshiya, Unnati Chaurasia, Sejal Kushwaha, and Mahak Batham from Bhopal; Shabnam Bano from Gwalior; Hetal Upadhyay, Madhuri Nayak, Madhu Helchal, Tanu Priya, and Riddhi from Mumbai; Sona Priyadarshini from Bengaluru; Sayanti Ghosh from Kolkata; Kalyani Potekar from Pune; Dr. Priyanka Rukmani, Ruchika Meghe, Ekta Khete, Maithili Singh, and Pallavi Deshmukh from Nagpur; Dr. Sumit from Noida; and Kavita Jadhav from Sambhaji Nagar (Maharashtra).
