Five IPS officers have been posted as SSP of various districts in Assam as per the orders of Election Commission. Somalin Shubhdarshini has been appointed as Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Majuli, while R Sheetal Kumar is now SSP, South Salmara-Mankachar district and Anchal Chauhan was made SSP, Sadiya. Besides, Sudhakar Singh is appointed as SSP, Chirang and Mohan Lal Meena will take charge as SSP, Dhemaji.
