All women-led panel to select a VC
The government has constituted an all women led panel to select the new Vice Chancellor (VC) for the Panjab Central University. According to Office order, the search cum selection committee has named three women scholars- Lt Gen (Rtd) Madhuri Kannitkar, VC Maharashtra Health University, Chairperson, Prof Shashikala Wanzari, VC, NIEPA, New Delhi and Prof Vibha Tandon, Director CSIR-IICB, Kolkata. Meanwhile the Government has approved a 4 months extension for the present VC of Panjab University.
