Senior Geopolitical Experts Believe Trust Deficit will Limit Pakistan’s Mediation Role !

Senior strategic experts in India believe Pakistan is unlikely to play an effective mediator between Tehran and Islamabad because trust remains deeply eroded on both sides. Iran is reportedly wary of Pakistan’s closeness to the United States and Saudi Arabia, and some observers say Tehran views Islamabad’s past conduct as having indirectly served American interests .

Experts note that mediation only works when both parties believe the messenger is neutral, and that condition is missing here. Pakistan’s attempt to position itself as a regional broker may therefore look more like diplomacy for visibility than a credible peace channel.

The result is a structural problem, not a temporary one: without confidence from Tehran, Pakistan’s efforts are unlikely to gain traction
