Appointment of NCLT pending
The appointment of a regular President of National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) remains pending with the Chief Justice of India. The post has been vacant since the retirement of Justice Ramalingam Sudhakar on February 13, 2026. Judicial Member Bachu Venkat Balaram Das is currently the Acting President. This was highlighted in a Delhi High Court hearing recently. No new permanent appointment or other member changes were announced in the last three days.
