Armed Forces Convene in Bengaluru for High-Level Seminar on Multi-Domain Operations and Future Conflicts

In a significant push towards future-ready warfare, the Tri-service National Seminar “Ran Samwad 2026” commenced today at the Air Force Training Command here under the aegis of Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff (IDS).

The two-day event, themed “Multi-Domain Operations (MDO): An Imperative for Addressing Conventional and Irregular Threats,” was inaugurated by Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan. Senior military leaders from the Army, Navy, and Air Force gathered to deliberate on the evolving character of modern conflict that spans land, sea, air, space, cyber, and cognitive domains.

General Chauhan emphasised the need for seamless integration among the three services to effectively counter hybrid threats in an era of rapid technological change. Discussions focused on doctrinal shifts, joint operational concepts, and leveraging emerging technologies for decisive advantage.

The seminar is expected to produce actionable recommendations for enhancing India’s multi-domain war-fighting capabilities, marking a key step in the Armed Forces’ ongoing transformation towards integrated theatre commands and network-centric operations.
