No future of congress party

I think this feeling that there is no future in Congress party beyond Gandhi family is incorrect. Many times surveys don't reveal the actual historical facts.

Congress & the country flourished during Lal Bahadur Shastri & Narasimha Rao times. Congress has an all India brand image & reasonable leadership depth. This is just a marketing & branding fact. 

If you ask the question after giving this historical fact  - your answers could be different. 

Just that its capable leaders in the recent past have chosen to separate rather than play sycophants. Yes it is true that the Gandhi family has also a strong brand image - but is it strong enough for them to float a new party on their own - I doubt it.

The current set of Congress leaders do not have the guts in them to say we can survive without Gandhi family.
