Around one dozen IPS officers have been transferred and posted to different places in Assam. Accordingly, Aparna N has been posted as SP Majuli district, while Hitesh Ray is appointed as Commandant 9th APBn Barhampur, Nagaon and Rajmohan Ray is DCP, Operations Guwahati. Similarly,  Mugdhajyoti Dev Mahanta has been appointed as SP of Sonitpur; Kumar Sanjit Krishna as SP, Karimganj; Manabendra Dev Ray as SP of Cachar;  Rajveer as SP, Lakhimpur; Harekrishna Nath as Commandant, 2nd APBn Makum; Makum Singharam as SP, Bongaigaon; Subodh Kumar Sonowal as SP, Railway Police.
