Ex-RBI Deputy Governor Usha Thorat to head 25-member SEBI panel on MFs

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has restructured its advisory committee on mutual funds. The 25-member panel will be chaired by former Deputy Governor of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Usha Thorat. Neeraj Choksi, Chairman, NJ India Invest Pvt Ltd, Sunil Gulati, Independent Trustee, SBI Mutual Fund and Ms. Dharmishta Narendraprasad Raval, Independent Trustee, DSP Mutual Fund, have been included in the panel.   Other members include Vinay Tonse, MD & CEO, SBI Funds Management Private Ltd, Prathit D Bhobe, MD & CEO, Tata Asset Management Ltd, Swarup Mohanty, CEO, Mirae Asset Investment Managers (India) Pvt Ltd, Sunil Subramaniam, MD, Sundaram Asset Management Company Ltd, Navin Agarwal, MD & CEO, and A Balasubramanian, Chairman, Association of Mutual Funds in India. Besides, Ashish Chauhan, MD & CEO, BSE Limited, Vikram Limaye, MD & CEO, NSE Limited, Anuj Kumar, Managing Director, Computer Age Management Services Limited (as permanent invitee), Sreekanth Nadella, Whole-Time Director & Chief Executive Officer and KFin Technologies Private Limited  (as permanent invitee) have also been included.
