When will NDDB get a new and regular chief?
The National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) is, headless since June 2021 and Meenesh C Shah has been given the additional charge of the board for the last one year. He is presently an additional secretary in the ministry. It is said that the ministry had invited applications for the post of Chairman but was unable to select any suitable candidate for the post. Prof V Kurian was the longest-serving- from 1965 to 1998- Chairman of the board, who was the father of the white revolution in the country. The Board's Headquarters is at Anand, Gujarat. The NDDB comes under the Ministry of Animal Husbandry and Dairying.
