MSME Secretary Arvind Kumar Sharma quits Indian Administrative Service

Arvind Kumar Sharma, Secretary in the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME) has sought voluntary retirement from Indian Administrative Service (IAS) with effect from January 11, 2021. Sharma, who is a 1988 batch IAS officer of Gujarat cadre, was due to retire in July 2022.

Pujari to continue as CERC ?

Grapevine has it that P K Pujari, Chairperson, CERC is getting one year extension this month. He was appointed as Chairman for three years which will complete this month only.

TamilNadu Chief Secretary unlikely to get extension ?

Vacancy of PESB Chairman dragged on interminably

An inordinate delay in appointment of new Chairman, Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has emerged as a stumbling block to the timely recommendation and appointments to various Boards in Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs). The PESB has to hold interviews for around one hundred vacancies/backlog. All the scheduled meetings have been withheld for want of Chairman since September, 2020.

Six IAS officers in Haryana promoted to CS grade

Six IAS officers in Haryana have been promoted to the grade of Chief Secretary. The four officers of 1990 batch who have been promoted are: Sudhir Rajpal, Ankur Gupta, Anurag Rastogi and Raja Sekhar Vundru. The government has also granted pro-forma promotion to 1989 batch officer Arun Kumar and 1990 batch officer Dr Sumita Misra.  

Eight IAS officers of 2005 batch in Haryana awarded Super Time Scale

As many as eight IAS officers of 2005 batch in Haryana have been promoted to the Super Time Scale. The six officers who have been promoted are: Saket Kumar, Hardeep Singh, Ramesh Chander Bidhan, Bhupinder Singh, Ms Geeta Bharti and S S Phulia. Besides, proforma promotion has been granted to Mandip Singh Brar and Saket Kumar. 

Three IAS officers get new responsibility in MP

Three IAS officers have been assigned new responsibility in Madhya Pradesh. Accordingly, Shivam Verma has been posted as Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Gwalior, while Roshan Kumar Singh was appointed CEO, District Panchayat, Morena and Anand Kumar Sharma is temporarily posted as Secretary to the Chief Minister. 

11 IPS officers of 2007 batch promoted as DIGP

As many as 11 AGMUT cadre IPS officers of 2007 batch have been promoted to the DIG grade. The officers are: Romil Baaniya, Ms Geeta Rani Verma, Deepak Purohit and Kime Arya. Besides, seven IPS officers presently posted on Central Deputation have been granted pro-forma promotion in DIGP grade. They are: Vijay Kumar, Ms Meghna Yadav, Surender Kumar, Seju P Kuruvilla, Ms Nupur Prasad, Ms Aslam Khan and Dr Mahesh Chand Bhardwaj.

Amit Kumar appointed Sr. DGM, RVNL

Amit Kumar, Assistant Personnel Officer (APO), Mechanical, Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR), has been selected for deputation to Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL)  as Senior Deputy General Manager (Human Resources), New Delhi, on usual terms of deputation for a period of five years.

Surendra Singh to be Dy. CPM (S&T), HRIDC 

Surendra Singh – who is presently on deputation to Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL) as Project Manager (Signal and Telecommunication), Tundla – has been selected for deputation to Haryana Rail Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (HRIDC) for the post of Deputy Chief Project Manager (S&T). He is an Indian Railway Service of Electricity Engineers (IRSEE) officer.

NP Pandey given additional charge of Addl. Member (Revenue), Railway Board

NP Pandey, who is presently working as Additional Member (Budget), Railway Board, has been assigned additional duties of Additional Member (Revenue), Railway Board. He is an Indian Railway Accounts Service (IRAS) officer.

Navin Gulati appointed in HAG

Navin Gulati, who is presently working as Additional General Manager in Northern Railway, has been appointed in higher administrative grade (HAG) and posted as AGM on the Railway itself. He is an Indian Railway Service of Electrical Engineers (IRSEE) officer.

AK Agarwal moved to NCR

Ashish Kumar Agarwal – who is presently posted on Northern Railway (NR) and is being relieved from the post of Additional Divisional Railway Manager (ADRM), Izzatnagar – has been transferred to North Central Railway (NCR) and posted in the cadre. He is an Indian Railway Stores Service (IRSS) officer.

Wazir Singh posted on Northern Railway

Wazir Singh, who is being prematurely repatriated from deputation to Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL), has been posted on Northern Railway (NR). The earlier order posting him on South Eastern Railway (SER) has been cancelled.
