Did Congress’s ‘Vote Chori’ narrative backfire & hurt MGB’s prospects in Bihar?
.jpg)
Political analysts suggest that the Congress’s ‘vote chori’ narrative may have backfired, weakening the Mahagathbandhan’s (MGB) momentum in Bihar. The campaign, framed to accuse the BJP of manipulating elections, was intended to rally opposition unity and cast doubt on the fairness of the process. However, critics argue it diverted attention from local issues like unemployment, price rise, and caste representation—key factors in Bihar’s political discourse. The repetitive focus on “stolen votes” may also have discouraged marginal voters who perceived the opposition’s tone as defeatist or lacking a positive vision. Moreover, allies like the RJD were reportedly uneasy about Congress’s messaging overshadowing the alliance’s united pitch. Instead of consolidating anti-incumbency sentiment, the campaign appears to have fragmented the MGB’s narrative, allowing the NDA to project greater confidence and credibility on electoral integrity.
Reports suggest that Lalu Yadav’s family rift has widened while Lalu is not speaking to anyone!

Reports from Patna suggest that tensions within Lalu Prasad Yadav’s family have deepened after four of his daughters reportedly left Bihar amid growing discord following the party’s electoral setback. Sources indicate that Tejashwi Yadav, who spearheaded the RJD’s campaign, is believed to have blamed one of his sisters for mismanaging alliances and mishandling candidate selection in key constituencies, leading to internal resentment. The friction has further isolated Lalu Yadav, who, according to insiders, has withdrawn from active political discussions and even curtailed contact with his long-time loyalists. Party workers say the ongoing family rift has demoralized the RJD cadre, already struggling after recent defeats. With the patriarch’s health concerns and leadership uncertainty looming, the widening family divide threatens to weaken the RJD’s organizational strength ahead of future electoral battles.
Has Dharmedra Pradhan made a perfect case for being the BJP Chief post Bihar win?

Dharmendra Pradhan has quietly but decisively emerged as one of the BJP’s most formidable organizational minds, stitching together back-to-back election triumphs that have strengthened his case to succeed J.P. Nadda as the party’s next national president. A trusted lieutenant of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, Pradhan’s track record across diverse regions underscores his strategic acumen and grassroots connect.
As the BJP’s election in-charge for Bihar in 2020, he helped the NDA retain power despite massive anti-incumbency and a resurgent opposition. In Odisha, his home turf, Pradhan has spent years methodically expanding the BJP’s footprint, transforming the party from a marginal player into the principal challenger to Naveen Patnaik’s BJD. His leadership in the 2023 Karnataka campaign, though ending in defeat, was widely credited for energizing the cadre and retaining the party’s southern presence. Most recently, his deft coordination during the 2024 Lok Sabha and subsequent Assembly polls —particularly in eastern and central India — reinforced his reputation as a results-oriented strategist.
Blending ideological clarity with pragmatic coalition-building, Pradhan now stands out as the BJP’s most balanced organizational face — combining electoral success with a deep understanding of cadre politics and governance vision.

As the NDA returns to power in Bihar, bureaucratic stability is anticipated with Chief Secretary Pratyaya Amrit and DGP Vinay Kumar expected to continue leading the administrative and law enforcement machinery, respectively. Amrit, a trusted confidante of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, has earned a reputation for effective governance, having overseen infrastructure projects and crisis management with notable success. His appointment as Chief Secretary in September 2025 signifies a commitment to experienced leadership. Similarly, DGP Vinay Kumar, with his steady command over the police force, is poised to maintain order during this political transition. Their continued presence promises administrative continuity, which could enable the new government to swiftly implement its policies without disruption. This continuity underlines the strategic importance attributed to stable bureaucratic leadership amidst Bihar's evolving political dynamics.

The Indian government’s carefully phrased response to the death sentence handed to Sheikh Hasina—stating its stance as “in the interest of Bangladesh”—signals a nuanced, almost cryptic diplomatic posture. By avoiding explicit endorsement of the interim administration in Dhaka, New Delhi appears to be keeping its options open amid uncertain political realignments. The phrase suggests a broader strategic calculus: safeguarding India’s long-term interests in a volatile neighborhood without being seen as interfering in Bangladesh’s internal upheaval. At the same time, sources hint that India is quietly cooperating on procedural fronts regarding Hasina’s potential extradition, balancing pressure from the interim regime with backchannel reassurances to Awami League loyalists. This calibrated ambiguity underlines India’s pragmatic recognition that Bangladesh’s political stability—whoever governs it—remains vital to its security, trade, and regional connectivity.
