SURVEY RESULT: Who Do Indians Blame for the Current Global War?

Whispers in the Corridors recently conducted a survey to capture public perception on whom they hold responsible for the ongoing global war and rising geopolitical tensions. The survey asked a simple question: “Who do Indians believe is responsible for the current war happening around the world?”
The results revealed a clear trend. About 35% of respondents named Donald Trump responsible for the current conflicts, making him the single most cited individual in the survey. Another major chunk of 26% respondents blamed the United States more broadly. Taken together, around 60% of respondents linked the present conflict either to Trump or to the United States, highlighting a strong perception.
Several participants directly mentioned U.S. President Trump criticizing what they described as his aggressive or self-interested foreign policy. One respondent remarked “Ruthless and nakedly selfish foreign policy of US President Donald Trump” - Prashant
A smaller number pointed towards countries such as Iran (9%) and Israel (4%), while 26% of responses attributed the situation to other factors like intelligence agencies, global leadership failures and long-term economic interests linked to oil and energy markets. Another respondent commented“ POTUS and world leaders who bowed or remained silent in front of a madman”- Anonymous
The survey offers an interesting snapshot of how global conflicts and world leaders are being interpreted by Indians.

The government is quietly preparing for a broader, deeper stake dilution in a clutch of PSUs and PSBs in FY27, going well beyond the calibrated minority sales seen so far. With the FY27 Budget already pitching a sharply higher ₹80,000 crore disinvestment and asset monetisation target, ministries and regulators are on alert to fast‑track compliance with listing, disclosure and fit‑and‑proper norms ahead of any large Offer for Sale or strategic dilution. Parallel work on enabling the state’s stake to fall below 51% in select listed PSUs, while retaining control through special rights, has further raised expectations of wider stake sales in profitable entities, including banks. Transaction advisers, merchant bankers and board‑level committees are, as a result, tightening internal risk, governance and market‑timing frameworks in anticipation of a more aggressive sell‑down calendar in FY27.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri convened a crucial meeting today amid the ongoing LPG and LNG supply disruptions triggered by Middle East conflicts, particularly the Strait of Hormuz closure. Key decisions focused on bolstering energy security for households, prioritizing domestic LPG allocation under the LPG Control Order, and ramping up refinery output by 28% to meet 33 crore families' needs without shortages. The trio reinforced the three-minister panel led by Shah with Puri and EAM Jaishankar to monitor stocks, curb hoarding, extend refill cycles to 25 days, and redirect natural gas to PNG, CNG, and LPG production via Essential Commodities Act orders. Further measures include diverting KG-D6 gas, exploring alternative imports, and daily audits to stabilize commercial supplies while shielding essentials like hospitals. This proactive strategy counters panic buying, ensures 2-3 day deliveries, and advances India's self-reliance amid global volatility.

Time bound disposal
Time bound disposal of all cases to be assured. The submissions by advocate should be short and crisp, so that the judges can read the details of the cases before hearing. Gap between the hearing should be not more than a week. if the parties are from distance places it should be prioriatised and hearing should be day to day basis. There should be cap on the number of cases a advocate should handle then only they will not indulge in getting hearing postponed for filthy reasons. These are my humble opinions.

“Trump and Global instability”
One would go along with the assessment reportedly made by former Indian diplomats (WIC dt March14,2026)
The US-Israel strikes on Iran and subsequent retaliations have led to global chaos. All eyes are set on the strait of Hormuz, that allows about a fifth of oil supplies and seaborne gas tankers pass through it.
Throughout the world, accusations are mounting that President Trump’s actions are destroying the “rules-based world order”.Rejecting Iran war settlement, President Trump had threatened that war with Iran will continue until all "objectives are achieved". A regional war in the middle-east,has expanded into a large theatre of war.
The UNO is ineffective.
By virtue of their enduring relationship and use of effective diplomacy by India,Iran has allowed free passage to India’s two tankers through the strait of Hormuz.
A happy augury. Could India not play a key role in resolving the ongoing middle-east crisis?
The BRICS, as a major inter-governmental organization represents, influential emerging economies and the global south. Originally, Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa were its members. This later expanded to include Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, Indonesia, and the UAE.
Going further, as the world economy deteriorates, India holding the 2026 chair of the BRICS, should take the initiative in bringing the adversaries to negotiations. In this regard, India’s dilemma due to its strategic tilt towards the US-Israel, should, in the interest of world peace, be appreciated by all concerned, particularly, President Trump.

Screenshot of the comparative fares at the time of booking of the tickets
The Appellant sought the date wise LTC Concession (Economy Class) air fare displayed on https://www.irctc.co.in/Portal between Mumbai and Varanasi for the Period 01st to 30th November 2021. The PIO replied that the Historical Airfare data of Airlines is not stored by IRCTC. The Airline fares are governed by Airlines and are very dynamic which may vary as per the seat availability at the time and date of booking. It is the duty of the person booking the ticket to take the screenshot of the comparative fares flashed on the screen at the time of booking the ticket, because it keeps on changing and it is not possible to recapitulate later on the same at the relevant time. The CIC observed that as far as RTI application is concerned, appropriate reply has been furnished by the Respondents and upheld the same. The Appellant made a prayer during the hearing to provide a certified copy of downloaded fares. In this regard, the CIC held that it is an extended relief claimed which has never been sought in the original RTI application and rejected the same.
Comments
It is seen that some government servants miss taking a screenshot of the comparative fares at the time of booking of the tickets. Such bills are struck up and there is little that the RTI Act can do to provide the historical data which is not stored.
