The Central Agricultural University, Imphal, Manipur Regional Agri Fair was inaugurated on December 12, 2023 by the Governor of Nagaland La Ganesan. The Governor called the farmers ‘Anna data’ and acclaimed their role in providing food security to the world. Taking into account the rich Bio resources that the North-east offers, he stressed upon the importance of exploring alternative food sources and urged that CAU should lead in preparing a food atlas of North East Region focusing on Alternative food sources. The governor also congratulated CAU for starting a course on Natural Farming.
