DGFT officer completes IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship in France

Lokesh HD, an Indian Trade Service officer serving as Additional Director General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) in commerce ministry, has completed the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship held in Nice, France, recently.The half-distance triathlon, considered one of the toughest endurance events, comprises a 1.9-km open-water swim, a 90-km cycling leg and a 21.1-km half-marathon, to be completed within an overall time limit of 8 hours and 30 minutes. The said World Championship is not open to all athletes. Participants have to earn a slot by finishing near the top of their age group at a qualifying race.
