G Parthasarathi has been relieved of his duties in the Ministry of Home Affairs as Joint Secretary with effect from February 2, 2026.  His services are now placed at the disposal of Department of Personnel & Training, as on 'Compulsory Wait', till he assumes charge of a new post. He is a CSS officer.
