Lavasa is second to step down before completion of term

Ashok Lavasa who is  quitting as Election  Commissioner will be second in the history  of EC to leave before completion of his term. Till now, Nagendra Singh was the only Election Commissioner to resign, when he was made Judge at the International Court of Justice at The Hague in 1973
